[TRANS] 101201 JYJ's Showcase In Taipei

It is the first time the 3 members of Dong Bang Shin Ki, Kim JaeJoong, Park YooChun and Kim JunSu, visited Taiwan as JYJ for their showcase. The trio first paralysed the Taoyuan Airport, and then they caused an influx of 5000 fans at the Nangang Exhibition Centre. The short visit of 29 hours to Taiwan was extremely hectic and packed for the trio. JYJ hopes that they would be able to hold a concert the next time round to meet the Taiwan fans.

Although their schedule proceeded as usual whereby a press conference for the promotion of their new songs was first held, JYJ was very prudent and took a very short break before starting their rehearsal. JYJ performed 6 songs from their latest album during their showcase which lasted for 70 minutes. The opening with the prelude of "Empty" made fans who waited for a very long time to scream. Behind-the-scene clips of the making of the album during early this year were also shown during break intervals. The trio were very elated to be able to return to Taiwan. JunSu also showed concern to the fans as he said, "How are your parents?" in Mandarin.

During the interactive session, the trio got to know that the tickets in Taiwan were sold out within minutes, and expressed their gratitude towards the support given by the fans. When they were asked about their recent activities, YooChun jokingly revealed that although JaeJoong and JunSu visited the filming site of the drama series "SungKyunKwan Scandal" and brought a total of 160 fried chickens, he is always the one who pays the bill when they go out for drinks. JunSu also said that he bought 4 cats recently after he saw JaeJoong having a very cute kitten, and he hopes that JaeJoong will give his kitten to him because he feels that JaeJoong does not know how to take care of it.

The showcase ended with the remix version of "Empty". After that, JYJ is scheduled to attend an interview as well as a press conference on October 31st and then leave Taiwan at night.

[NEWS] JYJ World Tour: LA Showcase Recap + Photos

The third and final stop of the JYJ concert was held in Los Angeles. While an unofficial line stretching nearly an entire block began as early as 9am, the actual event started around 8:30PM. The concert was held at USC’s Galen Center, where Shane Yoon and Arden Cho were MCs. Fans came from as far as China for the last US showcase by JYJ and chanted "JYJ" waving their glow sticks while waiting for the show to begin.

After being introduced by both MCs and a short video, JYJ slowly arose from the stage and began performing "Empty". As with the other two showcases, they then moved onto "Be The One" and "Be My Girl". Their singing and dancing easily moved the crowd, causing both excited screaming and awed reverence. After the two songs, there were also short videos of JYJ played on the large screens. The first featured them writing messages to the fans on glass, the second showed the members during rehearsals and preparations for their album.

JYJ steals fans’ hearts, minds, and souls in New York City

After all the chaos that was delayed ticketing information, rumors of the US leg of showcases being canceled altogether, and the issue of the JYJ members’ application for working visas getting denied, the boys finally managed to make it to the first stop of their first ever tour in the US (that’s a lot of firsts there). But despite the shoddy management, the hype surrounding Junsu, Yoochun, and Jaejoong’s performances stateside never seemed to dwindle and ultimately manifested itself as the night of November 12 saw the Hammerstein Ballroom being packed to the brim with 3,400 enthusiastic fans. I feel extremely sorry for the other 3,000 fans that got turned away due to the Hammerstein Ballroom’s maximum capacity of (you guessed it) 3,400 people, because JYJ totally rocked the house and left everyone in attendance with a night they’ll never forget!

Fans began lining up for the JYJ NYC showcase as early as 6:00AM. Many fans wanted to stay overnight, but the police would not let them. By 7PM, the line had grown exponentially.

Fans with tickets were allowed in starting at 7PM. No seating rules were enforced and fans who wanted to stand ran up to the stage as fast as they could. The stage and the venue itself was a lot more intimate than TVXQ’s usual stage. However, the standing area was not packed to maximum capacity and there were a few empty seats as well.

In any case, while the fans waited for the hall to be filled, the staff kept teasing the crowd with flashy lights, tricking the fans into thinking JYJ would walk onto the stage. Finally, they announced they would be starting the concert in fifteen minutes, which worked all the fans up to a frenzy

First of all, I still didn’t get a ticket until yesterday. They didn’t release the $280 tickets. Finally I got tickets!

I was going to meet up with a friend at 4, she had followed them to the hotel. Because of our height, we decided not to wait in the lobby. It was about 5~6 at that time

As we were walking closer to the hotel, a police car came from behind us, and behind it was a car. The car stopped in front of the hotel, there weren’t many guards…

Then, the luckiest thing in my life happened. We got closer to the car, and I looked through the windows and saw Jaejoong’s smooth hair. He was sitting on the left side. It must be them!! At that time, there weren’t many fans around. I planned on getting closer to the car, but Jaejoong started getting out. My friend started screaming and I ran forward. I saw! I saw! Jaejoong, so close! I probably screamed but can’t remember if I scared them or not. I didn’t care if my Korean was good enough and screamed “재중”!! Then Junsu’s hot red head poked out, so bright and red! So I screamed “준수”. At that that time my heart was complete! My tears came out!

The show began at 8 sharp, everyone’s scream is really impressive, I was sitting up high and felt the entire venue would erupt!

They sang 3 songs first, Empty? Be my girl? Be the one? Oh, my memory!! Yoochun’s new haircut is really refreshing.

[TRANS] 101106 JYJ's Hawaiian Showcase Canceled.. Due To "Micky Yoochun's Accumulated Fatigue"

The Hawaii showcase of JYJ, a group comprised of YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, has been canceled.

JYJ representatives reported this through Facebook on the 6th. JYJ was planning on holding a showcase in Hawaii on the 10th. However, a JYJ representative stated in a phone conversation with Star News that the showcase was canceled, "Due to visa problems and Micky Yoochun's accumulated fatigue."

As none of the members have served their military duties, they must file for a US visa for every performance but this did not work out. Also, Micky Yoochun's health problems, stemming from accumulated fatigue, also affected the outcome of the Hawaii showcase.

It has been found that Micky Yoochun's health is in a bad condition due to accumulated fatigue from filming for the KBS 2TV drama 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' while holding performances in China in between his filming schedule. The JYJ representative stated, "After holding the Shanghai showcase on the 7th as planned, JYJ will have a short break."

Micky Yoochun drew the attention of netizens when he did not show up to the 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' celebratory closing party. It has been found that Micky Yoochun went to a meeting instead regarding his overseas performances and the possibility of canceling the Hawaii leg of the showcases.

The JYJ representative stated that as there is much enthusiasm for JYJ's overseas showcases, the trio will hold their showcases in New York on the 12th, Las Vegas on the 14th and LA on the 19th as planned after a short break.
