[News] 101128 J.Y.J’s Jaejoong Apologizes For The One Hour Delay at Their Concert in Seoul

JYJ’s ‘Worldwide Concert in Seoul‘ was recently held at the Jamsil Sports Complex Olympics Stadium on the evening of November 27th. However, setbacks near the beginning of the concert unfortunately forced fans to wait in the freezing cold for an hour.

Due to a sudden hailstorm on the day of the event, the marquee that was covering the roofless stadium had ripped, and various stage equipment needed to be adjusted in order for a safe showcase to be held.

JYJ member Yoochun stated, “We put in a lot of effort to prepare for this concert, but because of the hailstorm this morning, the tent ripped completely. We thought the ripped covering would hurt the spectators and decided to remove it, which consequently resulted in a delay.”

Jaejoong also expressed a word of apology on his Twitter after the event, as he said:

“Because of the ripped ceiling due to the sudden hailstorm, we had to change around a lot of the stage, so we’re sorry that we couldn’t do the laser show and couldn’t use the front assistant stage.. and because of that, we had a longer rehearsal and had setbacks and delays, which we’re very sorry for as well.. Thank you for smiling even when it was cold.. We’ll show a better concert tomorrow..
We were really excited up until the concert day.. the fact that a show like no other had turned into a total disaster.. The moment we went to the concert venue this morning.. I had tears in my eyes. What Junsu was most sad about was that, the moment the ceiling got ripped because of the natural disaster, he said he felt like he was lying to the fans..
But since we had to have a good concert.. We quickly changed the cue sheet and stage.. We won’t have a roof tomorrow either, but we’ll show a better concert than today. Fighting.!
Even though there’s a saying that it’s better to give your ‘best effort’ than showing the ‘best’, we wanted to show our ‘best efforts’ on the ‘best’ stage. We’re just really happy and thankful for everyone who came to the concert today. I will sleep tonight thinking of that. For the people who are coming to the concert tomorrow.. It’s really cold so please come in warm clothes.”

[TRANS] 101124 JYJ Concert Gives Special Discounts For University Entrance Exam Takers

University Entrance Exam takers will be receiving a special discount for the JYJ concert.

Amidst the growing anticipation from fans for the 'JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul', which will take place at the Jamshil Olympic Stadium on November 27th and 28th, JYJ are planning on giving an explosive 40% discount to students who took the University Entrance Exam this year.

The Seoul leg of the JYJ concert, which will be attracting a total of 100,000 people across two days of performances at the Olympic Stadium, has been getting an explosive reception as its first two rounds of ticket sales were both sold out within 20 minutes and as its third round is currently open.

This discount will apply to the buyer and one other, and only applies to Sections A, B and C. University Entrance Exam takers who wish to receive a discount must buy the ticket at the official ticket reservation site Interpark ( http://ticket.interpark.com ), and bring their test identification slip on the day of the concert.

[TRANS] 100917 SMTOWN LIVE'10 in LA Concert to be Released in 3D

The SM Town Live ’10 World Tour in L.A concert will be made into a 3D movie to be screened in theatres.

On September 4th at 7pm (Local American time) in L.A, the whole of the SM Town Live concert in L.A was recorded by PACE, a production company that specialises in 3D films which was established by the director of ‘Avatar,' James Cameron. While this video was sponsored by Samsung Electronics for promotional use for its 3D display products, there are plans to screen it the contents as a movie.

A senior official from SM revealed, “Although things may change, post-production, but it appears that we may be able to release it either at the end of the year or early next year.” Also saying, “We are hoping for a big response in releasing it not just in Korea, but in China, South Asia and elsewhere.”

Although it had already been announced that Girls' Generation and BoA had made a music video with PACE’s team, this is the first time that they are filming a concert in 3D. The production company PACE and Samsung Electronics have already filmed a concert in 3D together with Black Eyed Peas New York Manhattan concerts last March.

Meanwhile on September 4th in L.A, America the SM Town Live ’10 World Tour in L.A opened with KangTa, BoA, Uknow YunHo, ChoiKang ChangMin, Girls' Generation, Super Junior, SHINee, f(x), TRAX, Kim Min Jong, Lee Yeon Hee, Ara along with other SM Entertainment’s actors and singers, totalling about 40 people.

Last August 21st, the SM Town World Tour concert in Jamshil Olympic Stadium finished with great success, and after the L.A concert it has been planned for the tour to continue in Shanghai, China at Hongkou Athletics Stadium on the 11th and in Tokyo, Japan in January next year.

2010 Shanghai East Asia Flying Up Concert is a charity concert.

The proceeds from the concert will be donated through Shanghai World Expo Love Group to people in affected area in Gansu Province, who are victimized from the massive land slide occurred at Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

[TRANS] 100819 'Yunho and Changmin will not disappoint'

SMTown artists including Kangta, Boa, Yunho, Changmin, Super Junior, Girl's Generation, SHINee, F(x) and Trax etc. will be taking part in a SMTown live concert in Seoul Olympic Stadium on the 21st.

The official name of the event is 'SMTown Live '10 World Tour in Seoul', and it is estimated that there will be a total of 80 songs performed over the course of 6 hours.

This is not the first time SM artists have gathered for a concert, this has been the case for many years and it is a way of displaying the strong bonds and friendships amongst SMTown. Of course, it also offers the audience a high degree of satisfaction.

The focal interest of this event is that it will comprise more artists than ever before, and since it takes the form a world tour, they will also be performing in China, Japan and the US etc. Representatives of SM said that 'This will be very different from the concert we had two years ago, this is a much larger scale world tour. The world tour will kick off in Seoul, and in order to reach out to overseas fans, we've been planning performances abroad for a long time. We will be holding a concert in LA on September 4th and travel to Shanghai and Tokyo etc. later on.

In preparation for the SMTown concerts, special stages featuring Yunho and Changmin were prepared. There will also be collaborations by Boa & Key, Kyuhyun & Seohyun, as well as Jessica & Krystal.

In particular, fans are highly anticipating special performances by Yunho and Changmin. Yunho delivered a mature and sophisticated live performance on March 27th this year at the Michael Jackson memorial concert, exhibiting his phenomenal skill and talent. Thinking back to that event makes fans wonder what he will have in stall for us this time. With regard to this, SM Entertainment confidently expressed that 'Details about Yunho and Changmin's stage will be kept confidential, but we assure you that you will not be disappointed.'

[TRANS] 100617 Final Approval For Verdict On SM Town Concert Compensation

SM Entertainment must pay an additional 10% of the ticket price as compensation for indefinitely postponing its concert from last year.

On the 17th, Chairman Kim Hak Geun of the Consumer Dispute Arbitration Committee stated, "The verdict of paying an additional 10% of the ticket price, along with a full refund, as compensation for the indefinite postponement of the 'SM TOWN LIVE '09 Concert' has been given its final approval."

Therefore, the 792 consumers who filed this complaint can now receive an additional 10% of the ticket price as compensation from SM Entertainment and Dream Maker Entercom. The money will be distributed by Dream Maker from the 21st.

The Consumer Dispute Arbitration Committee is also allowing consumers who could not participate in the legal dispute to receive compensation as well and they may do so by submitting a Compensation report to the companies in question.

When a verdict from the committee receives its final approval, it holds equal validity as a judicial decision. If the set verdict is not carried out by the defendant, the Seoul District Courts have the power to force the action to occur.

The full ticket price of the 'SM TOWN LIVE '09 Concert' has already been refunded to all ticket buyers by SM Entertainment and Dream Maker Entercom.
