[Trans] B-Pass August 2010 Issue (The Interview)
During MC section, while turning 360 degress spread looks to the audiences, Jejung said, “There are a lot of men~” then he asked “Hey, for men only, please cheer out!”, and while (the male fans) were fewer than women in number, “Waaa!” a bass-sound of cheering sounded. Listening to that, “I think it perfectly suits World Cup (laughs)” saying that, Jejung unintentionally burst into laughter (laughs). We’re now delivering the issue during the second day Tokyo Dome concert on the 13th. The three members’ singing and dancing was really cool, but during MC section, they smartly switched the atmosphere into a relax one (laughs). Since Jejung and Yuchun has just appeared in TV dramas (Jejung for Fuji TV drama ‘Sunao Ni Narenakute’ while Yuchun in mobile BeeTV drama ‘Beautiful Love~Kimi ga Ireba~’), there were many times topic about drama was brought in.
While watching the two members’ drama scenes being aired on the giant screen at the center of the stage, Junsu kept doing ad-lib for Jejung role ‘Doctor’, also when the other two members disclosed funny/interesting episode during Yuchun drama filming, Yuchun turned deep-red in embarassment, yet the fun interaction kept continuing.
Meanwhile Junsu, “Although the two members’ video drama is airing now, but my musical starring ‘Mozart!’ video is not going to air~” he mumbled with a bit sadness (laughs).
● Everytime during Yuchun solo ‘My Girlfriend’, one girl from audiences would be chosen to step on stage to be his girlfriend. On this day, the chosen girl was a 15 year old came from Gunma prefecture named ‘Miki’. When her name was asked, Yuchun immidiately reacted, “Miki-chan? I’m also Micky! So it’s double Micky~” Yuchun showed a happy expression. With Yuchun at her side, the smile on ‘Miki-chan’ face remained stiff from the beginning til the end due to excessive nervousness, but it’s also cute at the same time (laughs)

[I would like to take photos myself if compared to be photographed by the others]
After the photo shooting session had ended, Yunho laughed as he said such. Since his hobby is photo shooting, he told us he has two cameras now.

The chat topics unfold as he said so. Yunho, the leader of TVXQ, the DVD of his debuted drama series immediately rose to the top spot on chart by the moment it was released. This interview was conducted when he came to Japan in conjunction with the releasing of his DVD.
----What do you think of your first challenge in acting?
I always want to try it since I never have the chance to try it before. Of course my acting skill is still not so good now, but with my passion I will strive to improve it.
----Do you like drama series and film?
Yes, among the actors I like Johnny Depp the most, especially his film 'Edward Scissorhands'. I wish I am able to challenge various characters like him. When I was a high school student, I already had this in my mind, therefore I started to believe at that time, let it be singing or acting, those are performances that can express different feelings to many people. Hence, the things which I have rare opportunity to do it, the things that I did can become part of my experiences, I would like to do them all. This kind of feelings still hasn’t changed till now.
----If you do not have the job like what you are having now, what would you like to do?
To be a prosecutor is my ambition since young. That's because of my personality that like to justify between right and wrong.
----What's your feeling during filming?
I was still having tight schedule at that time, but I decided to take the role after I read the scripts. The most important is Bong Gun this character. He is me before my debut and me nowadays, and there is usual me in that character too. A person who has nothing but dreams, and advances with just his dreams. Besides that, I am the person who do not shed tears easily, Bong Gun also didn't cry during his development. (lol) The part which he values his family and friends is same like me.
----Please tell us when was the last time you cried?
When I was standing on stage in Tokyo Dome, I was truly amazed and touched by the fans (lol)
----Bong Gun is a character with distinct emotions. You really worked hard to act it out.
I wanted to display another side of me which is different on stage, and that was my initial target. Now I am so honored with your compliment.
----How do you work hard on your acting skills?
No matter what I am still a new actor, so there are still many parts that I lack of. However if compared to the efforts and hard work, there were more happy moments. My perspective towards the others also changed. In order to refine my acting skills, I learned a lot from observing other people's actions. Other than that is working hard. If there is a snack in front, I will start thinking 'What will Bong Gun do?' So I always practice at backstage during a-nation performance. When I am thinking back now, this opportunity in acting had changed my feelings towards my works.
----What do you think of yourself in the future since you gained experience from this drama series?
It is still the same as music, I want to challenge different characters more. For me I still do not have acting platform. For example Johnny Depp, he is able to use his own platform to fit into any role. I want to set that as my goal. Bon Gong as the origin point, and will persist forever as the guardian in my heart. So that in the future when I recall the process of interpreting this character, I want to live optimistically as him too.
----Are you a person who does not fear of failure and regret?
I do mind. However you can't get positive result if you keep on being pessimistic. I think the beautiful memories can be captured through the lens of camera, so that I have positive mood every time I look at them (the photos) even when I am facing hard times. In the future I hope to move forward without feeling regret.

These 2 days 1 night with Changmin who rushed to Japan, although the day before he was busy selecting photo material late into the night, but he still walked into the photo shoot beaming. By the way, the personal clothes Changmin wore were a black V neck T-shirt, sandals on his feet, very comfortable and relaxed style
The photo shoot studio was illuminated with Hunan lights. Wont the staff there feel sleepy? When asked them, they said “no no no!” wont even let us look at Changmin’s slits. Doesn’t matter about insufficient sleep before completing all the work, maybe the nervous feeling keeps someone from feeling sleepy.
In the make-up room, with the surrounding Staff talking and laughing in half Korean half Japanese. Sometimes he laughed so hard that people on the outside could hear.
The 8th of this month we ordered the first set of clothing, truthfully the look on the entire body has this kind of feeling. Changmin says this style and his personal clothing style is more similar. Saying it like that, the day before shooting at the Chanel show, saw with personally how wore his scarf the same way.
During the photoshoot, Staff requested Changmin to “try acting as if the photographer is your girlfriend!”. The effect was looking at the balding strong facials of the photographer, MITSUO, and continueously exhibiting expressions of being in love!!
By the way, this one is MITSUO. Today he became「MITSU子」and filmed many amazing photographs for us!
These cloth and decorations are prepared for the filming. When coming to Japan, do you bring many different types of luggage? When asked him, he answers “Before, even for short stays, I would bring a lot of luggage here, but recently is lessened. Because in the end, the stuff used are very limited. Necessities only include simple stuff like skin care products. Wont use the make-up water from the hotel, only use my own.”
Because he is really busy, Changmin hardly has time to buy his own cloth. Picking out cloth for the photo shoot could give a feeling of buying cloth. Although it wasn’t chosen for the magazine cover, this time’s outfits, he seems to fancy the short sleeve “ATTO” black jacket.
Changmin and the stylist seems to get along well like friends. The friends he has good relationship with, what type of people are they? When we asked him this, he was stumped, his manager answered for him. “Watching from the side, Changmin’s friends are mostly pure and innocent” everyone likes watching sports, drinking at home, like how normal 22-year-old would live their lives.
He was stretching while waiting, Changmin rubbed his facial muscles. We asked him “You are not good with laughing?” When the staff asked, he flatly denied it…… He wouldn’t admit defeat. Its regretful that even though we mentioned it on the cover, but we really haven’t revealed Changmin’s smile, its hidden in our private possession.
In the previous filming, Changmin listened to the photographer’s instructions on striking poses, this time he was very active. He tried putting his hand in his pocket, tried changing his foot position, also had done his one hair…… very straightforward rhythm is very nice, the change is very abundant! Changmin’s photos, will be published in the August issue, must take a good look at them!!
Finally, because most of the questions from readers were about “ingredients”, after some review, this time we prepared for him, is something he hadn’t been able to enjoy for a long time, hope he likes Japanese cuisine
Refreshing foods, at Japan right now is the most fresh, imported cherries. This time coming to Japan, no matter where, cherries would be brought out.
Right after finishing filming Changmin screamed “I’m hungry”, quickly brought out the pastries and cakes, to end the day. Last time during filming was in the middle of losing weight, this time can eat to my heart’s content.

The music style of ‘Intoxication’ is something which I have always wanted to try out. On the other hand, ‘悲しみのゆくえ (Kanashimi no Yukue )’ is an opposite of ‘Intoxication’. It is a expressive composition which conceal one’s sorrow. It says about someone who wanted to confess to a person he loves yet wondering if the person would understand and accept your feelings.”
Able to walk on the path of music, Junsu is greatly affected by the impact of his mother。
“My mother really loves music. She was once approached by a management agency which hoped that she’ll become an artiste, and this is the reason why she’s so happy when I became one. It makes me scared sometimes when my performances or compositions are somehow similar to hers, she really did leave a huge impact on me. Now that I’ve become more professional than what I used to be, I no longer need her advice. Sometimes I would hear those words from her “After hearing such words, I feel lonely and complicated.”
Junsu, who feels like he has only just embarked on the journey to become an artist said, “I’ve never really considered what type of artist I’d like to be, but I hope that my songs will last for the rest of eternity. As long as there are people who liked and enjoyed my music, I will continue to sing regardless of the time and situation. It is the things that I love which motivate me to sing.

Tohoshinki members Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu have formed a new unit and commenced their activities as a group. In order to truly grasp the power of their charisma and their mindset on stage, we will begin by interviewing some of the crew who have worked with the three of them in the past.
Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu, who are hugely popular in Japan, have an average age of around 25 years old. How do the people around them perceive the three members behind the scenes? We interviewed two of their former stylists to find out.

Masah-san said 'They were already superstars in Korea and all over Asia when I first started working with them, but they had only just debuted in Japan. Originally, I thought they'd be proud and overconfident, but as it turned out, they were shockingly humble and polite. This could be due to the customs and traditions of Korea, which command respect towards seniors. They were both refreshing and charismatic. They have tall figures and toned bodies, and their perfect figures are best displayed when dressed in suits; all in all, no matter what they are dressed in, the clothes fit as though they were especially tailored for them. In any case, as their stylist, I frequently get a 'ah, they give those clothes value' kind of feeling. Also, the relationship between the members is almost like that of a family, and that was something we witnessed regularly through their interaction. Now that I think back, my mind is suddenly flooded with memories of the glorious past. Similarly, another stylist commented that 'They have not changed at all since the day of their debut, despite their popularity in Japan, their attitudes toward the people around them have remained the same, but in terms of their work, they've become increasingly aggressive. Back when we were preparing for the concerts in Osaka and Tokyo, Jaejoong spent much of his time discussing matters regarding wardrobe with me, he even followed me home at times to talk about it, and it was all to satisfy their fans.' The three of them really like fashion, particularly Yoochun and Jaejoong, they have a deep interest in Japanese fashion. As their stylist, I feel a lot of joy.'
Even off camera and behind the scenes, they are warm, polite and humble towards all members of staff. Even men find their charm difficult to resist.

Dressed in a brown leather coat and denim jeans, I could feel a mix and match kind of vibe, and this was enhanced by the studded belt he was wearing. Yoochun, who spent some time living in the US, is really suited for this kind of casual look.
Junsu, who recently began his solo activities under the name Xiah Junsu wore a military inspired top which also had a casual, simplistic feel. The knit shirt and the edgy jeans are apparently a combination Junsu himself wanted to experiment with.
Working diligently since the age of 15 in pursuit of his dream, Jaejoong wore a black coat and a black knit top. In terms of accessories, he wore a simple silver pendant. As a whole, whilst his look seemed effortless, Jaejoong managed to exude an aura of grace and elegance.
