[TRANS] 101027 TVXQ Trio 'JYJ' On Stage After Releasing an Album

TVXQ trio JaeJoong, YooChun and Junsu's newly-formed unit 'JYJ' held a showcase at the Korea University in Seoul on the 12th of October for the release of their new album 'The Beginning'. This kick-started the three's official activities.

Their exclusive contract dispute with SM Entertainment in court led to the suspension of activities for more than a year for them. It has already been two years since TVXQ's 4th Korean album activities in 2008.

JYJ passionately sang English songs like 'Empty,' 'Be My Girl' (composed by Rodney Jerkins), 'Ayyy Girl' (composed by Kanye West) and 'Be the One' (composed by Jae Chong). Famous American producers also participated in the production and the songs were included in the album. The trio showed a variety of stage performances and a LIVE that can only be described as 'strong.' More than 6,000 fans' conveyed their joy and enthusiasm to JYJ for their comeback.

"Being able to go through the painful period, to stand in front of the fans after a long break , and to see everyone I am really very happy. Although I was worried whether or not we could release the album, I feel very blessed to be able to see everyone once again. Even if the songs are a bit unfamiliar, I still hope that everyone will be able to remember our familiar voices."

2. Ayyy Girl (Featuring Kanye West, Malik Yusef)
Composed by Kanye West, Kyoko Hamler, Ebony Latrice Batts, Malik Yusef
Lyrics by Kyoko Hamler, Ebony Latrice Batts, Malik Yusef

Note: Kanye West's rap isn't in Soribada so it's taken from here.

In your high honor
All over my skin does art splatter
And of everything that happen, this part matter
I tattooed your name on my tongue
Then my heart shattered
But for effort I get an Ayyy
Girl
So tonight be the VIP guest of JYJ & Malik Yusef & Kanye West

Livin' life like there's no damn rules
Tonight, I'm feelin' hot up in that hotel pool
Grab your hand, white dress, you gon' hop in too
And get everything that being at the top includes
Watch your friends at it too, why she so damn rude huh
Tell her snap for a change
If a balla come around she gon' snap for the change
I know her type
I know the life
I know you’re livin' your life for the night, another night
Ask the city what they got for us
I mean it wouldn't ev'n be poppin' if it not for us
There is-isn't this all that I said it'da be?
I want the best for you, but want better for me
I pay the price of fame uhh
Ice on chain
Stack my money tall, heigh' advantage

I know the type
Flashing lights
Have the time of your life
Livin' it up for tonight
Yah she livin' it up for tonight

Ayyy girl – tried to make you my baby
Ayyy girl – instead you make me go crazy
Chills run through me
What have you done to me?

Ayyy girl – tried to make you my baby
Ayyy girl – instead you make me go crazy
I’m losin’ my cool
Playin' me for a fool
Ayyyyyy, ayyy girl

I know your type
Another life
I know you’re livin' your life for the night
Another night
Ayyyyyy, ayyy girl

I know your type
Another life
I know you’re livin' your life for the night
Another night

We were so high
We touched the sky
You broke my heart
Tore me apart

I never lost like this
Now it’s you who’ll miss
Light I did give
'Cause for the night you do live

I know the type
Flashing lights
Have the time of your life
Livin' it up for tonight
Yah she livin' it up for tonight

Ayyy girl – tried to make you my baby
Ayyy girl – instead you make me go crazy
Chills run through me
What have you done to me?

Ayyy girl – tried to make you my baby
Ayyy girl – instead you make me go crazy
I’m losin’ my cool
Playin' me for a fool
Ayyyyyy, ayyy girl

I know your type
Another life
I know your livin' your life for the night
Another night
Ayyyyyy, ayyy girl

I know your type
Another life
I know you’re livin' your life for the night
Another night

You came and shut it down
Suddenly you run this town
Wanted to be with you
All I had was me and you

Now everything is changed
You act differently
You do me wrong
I knew all along

So cold in the rain
Gave my heart in vain
(I’m still in love with you, I can’t get over you)

You got me goin' insane
Get out of my brain
(I’m still in love with you, I can’t get over you)

Ayyy girl – tried to make you my baby
Ayyy girl – instead you make me go crazy
Chills run through me
What have you done to me?

Ayyy girl – tried to make you my baby
Ayyy girl – instead you make me go crazy
I’m losin my cool
Playin' me for a fool
Ayyyyyy, ayyy girl

I know your type
Another life
I know you’re livin' your life for the night
Another night
Ayyyyyy, ayyy girl

I know your type
Another life (Flashing lights)
I know you’re livin' your life for the night (Yah she livin' it up for tonight)
Another night
Ayyyyyy, ayyy girl

3. Empty
Composed by Rodney Jerkins
Lyrics by Kyoko Hamler, L. Daniels, T. Parker

Girl, I swear
I’m never going through this again
I know that you thought you’d win
And before I give you another try
I’d die

Love won’t make you cry or ask why
Oh why
So I’ll deny my heart 'cause I won’t live a lie
Why try

Your heart is empty
And you’re so cold
You don’t care about you and I
Your heart is empty
You won’t let go
But I’m walkin' out this life

Why can’t you let it go
Why can’t you let it go
(Let it go, let it go)
Girl because your heart is empty

Why can’t you let it go
Why can’t you let it go
(Let it go, let it go)
Girl because your heart is empty

There you go
Tryna tell me how to be a man
When that’s something you just don’t understand
It’s time to bring your truth to light
No lie

Love won’t make you cry or ask why
Oh why
So I’ll deny my heart 'cause I won’t live a lie
Why try

Your heart is empty
And you’re so cold
You don’t care about you and I
Your heart is empty
You won’t let go
But I’m walkin' out this life

Why can’t you let it go
Why can’t you let it go
(Let it go, let it go)
Girl because your heart is empty

Why can’t you let it go
Why can’t you let it go
(Let it go, let it go)
Girl because your heart is empty

Your heart is gone
My heart is strong
Leave me alone, leave me alone

Your heart is gone
My heart is strong
Leave me alone, leave me alone
Your heart is empty (empty, empty)
Your heart is empty (empty, empty, empty)
Your heart is empty (empty, empty, empty)

Girl because your heart is empty

Your heart is empty
And you’re so cold
You don’t care about you and I
Your heart is empty
You won’t let go
But I’m walkin' out this life

Why can’t you let it go
Why can’t you let it go
(Let it go, let it go, let it go.. go)
Girl because your heart is empty

Why can’t you let it go
Why can’t you let it go
(Let it let it go, let it go.. go)
Girl because your heart is empty

4. Be My Girl
Composed by Rodney Jerkins
Lyrics by Kyoko Hamler, L. Daniels, T. Parker

Don’t wanna hurt nobody
This is a song for you
Skippin’ all the after parties
Girl, I’m goin’ home with you

Don’t even think about it
You gon' feel what we gon' do
'Cause we’ll be falling in love all night long

Said I know she wanna be mine tonight
She should know that I can please mine for life
And we gonna have a good time, yeah
When I tell you girl it’s alright
You gon' be my girl

One look from you girl and it’s too hard to get by
But excuse me girl, I’ve been watchin' you
All night’ that’s right, I’d like to
Take this night over
What I’m tryin’ to say is you should be mine

She should be my
Baby, baby
Baby, baby
Baby, baby
She should be my girl

Wanna make you my somebody
Wanna see this world with you
So hard to find love like this
Chances are far and few

No other one can have you
I want you to myself
My heart is open for you all life long

Said I know she wanna be mine tonight
She should know that I can please mine for life
And we gonna have a good time, yeah
When I tell you girl it’s alright
You gon' be my girl

One look from you girl and it’s too hard to get by
But excuse me girl, I’ve been watchin' you
All night’ that’s right, I’d like to
Take this night over
What I’m tryin to say is you should be mine

She should be my
Baby, baby
Baby, baby
Baby, baby
She should be my girl

Gonna get you girl
Get you girl
Get you girl
Get you girl

Then I’m gonna love you girl
Love you girl
You should be mine

Gonna get you girl
Get you girl
Get you girl
Get you girl

Then I’m gonna love you girl
Love you girl
You gon' be my girl

One look from you girl and it’s too hard to get by
But excuse me girl, I’ve been watchin' you
All night’ that’s right, I’d like to
Take this night over
What I’m tryin' to say is you should be mine

She should be my
Baby, baby
Baby, baby
Baby, baby

She should be my
Baby, baby
Baby, baby
Baby, baby

She should be my girl

5. Still In Love
Composed by Kim, Jaejung
Lyrics by Kyoko Hamler

It’s close to mornin'
And can’t I see your face
How’d we end up this way
You were the sun in every day
You’d take my soul
Every time you’d go
But this time I know
The truth is in your heart; we’re dead and gone

I know you’re tired of broken promises
I had too many ‘second chances’
I’m a lost man for you, will I ever break through?

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

I just can’t stand to think
What my days will be
Without you by my side, I just can’t breathe
It don’t matter what they say
I know nobody can ever take your place

I know you’re tired of broken promises
I had too many ‘second chances’
I’m a lost man for you, will I ever break through?

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

It’s painful that everyone knows
It’s so true
I’m nothing but a fool for you

But I don’t care, I’ll always be here
Loving you with all I got
I don’t care if you love me or not

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

I’m still in love (still in love, but)
She’s thinking of (everyone, but)
The very one (I should move on, but)
Who’s still in love

6. I Can Soar
Composed by Kim, Junsu
Lyrics by Kyoko Hamler

When you said, I…
Owe you, it was sad
But I see how empty, you are at your core
So there’s no hard feelings
I know that I’m meant for so much more
I gave and did above
What I had to
So forward, no more to prove
I’m free to fly
And that is exactly what I’m gonna do
'Cause I…

I’m right here standing
That’s how I know I can withstand
Anything that may come,
A wind or a fall
I can soar

I know, I can’t go back
To that dark place I’d want
Your love so damn bad
You took from me only,
Blindness, to what I’ve always had
I gave and did above
What I had to
So forward, no more to prove
I’m free to fly
And that is exactly what I’m gonna do
'Cause I…

I’m right here standing
That’s how I know I can withstand
Anything that may come,
A wind or a fall
I can soar

'Cause I…
I’m right here standing
That’s how I know I can withstand
Anything that may come,
A wind or a fall
I can soar

Listen, I know tomorrow
Holds the key to any sorrow
That’s why it’s all okay
Then, now and always
'Cause I...

I’m right here standing
That’s how I know I can withstand
Anything that may come,
A wind or a fall
I can soar

'Cause I…
I’m right here standing
That’s how I know I can withstand
Anything that may come,
A wind or a fall
I can soar

I can soar

7. I Love You (Featuring Flowsik)
Composed by Park, Yucheon
Lyrics by Kyoko Hamler, Flowsik

Spoken: Micky, look, it's me... I just... I can't do this anymore... I'm sorry I'm doing it this way... Yeah.. Look, I gotta go... Bye.

[Rap]
Give me a chance to explain, along with some bouquets
Girl, I’m burning up in flames yet I’m too stressed to feel the pain
If only you believe me when I say I’m gon’ change
But you know I ain’t in this game, for the money and the fame
I just want to see us secured so we can chill and start a family
Provide for the bills yet you don’t seem to understand me want me to,
Give up what my plans be
Just to see you happy, girl I’ll do it gladly

So could I say I’m sorry, sure
But would it do any good, no
‘Cause she’s out of my life
And you never wanna see me again
What can I do to fix this?
‘Cause babe, I need you…
Need you, more than the night sky needs the moon
Hey, I gotta face the fact
She’s not here, so I’m beggin’ you, to hear my cry…
God, I need that girl…
If you must, take instead my life

I love you, I love you
I love you means this can’t be
I love you, I love you
I love you’s the only beginning
I love you, I love you
I love you, this ain’t the end
I love you, I love you
I love you’s the only beginning

All you wanted was I love you
I was too insecure to
But if it brings you back
I will love you, girl
Love you.
I am your man
And now…

I’m beggin’ you, to hear my cry
God, I will be her man. But this time I
Will cherish your gift, this time I’ll do it right

I love you, I love you
I love you means this can’t be
I love you, I love you
I love you’s the only beginning
I love you, I love you
I love you, this ain’t the end
I love you, I love you
I love you’s the only beginning

[Rap]
I just need a chance for me to show you my heart
'Cause the only other way to tell you is through my prayers to God
You’re the brightest by far, amongst the brightest of stars
Even though we argue, know that I’m the type that fights for the cause
Non-stop calls buggin' I don’t mean to
I’m sick of all these sequels, I just want to see you
You’re my other half; we’re each other’s equals
So I ain’t gon’ stop until this problem's solved because I need to,
I need you

This is truly my fault
'Cause when you left that day
It was tears from our fight
I should’ve made you stay

I love you, I love you
I love you means this can’t be
I love you, I love you
I love you’s the only beginning
I love you, I love you
I love you, this ain’t the end
I love you, I love you
I love you’s the only beginning

This is truly my fault
'Cause when you left that day
It was tears from our fight
I should’ve made you stay

God I’m beggin' you now,
Hear my prayer
I really need this girl,
Bring her back today

8. Be the One
Composed by Jae Chong
Lyrics by Jae Chong, Terry Shorter

Be the one…

Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...
Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...

I feel the temperature rise girl, when I see you movin’,
It’s hot, you got me burnin’ up, so baby let’s go!
After all that’s said and done, baby
You’re my only one
My only fantasy, just can’t keep my hands down

You gotta let me know, girl if you want it tonight
(Your body’s so tight; I can make you feel right)
You got me in the zone, girl let’s go on a ride
(Girl tonight, won’t stop, till you say yeah)

Be the one (Be the one),
Be the one (be the one) -Do you right-
Baby, come over tonight
Be the one (Be the one),
Be the one (be the one)-Do you right-
Show you the time of your life

Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...
Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...

I can see it in your eyes, girl I know what you’re thinkin’
You wanna be my number one, so whatcha waitin’ for?
After all that’s said and done, baby you’re my only one
My only fantasy, just can’t keep my hands down

You gotta let me know, girl if you want it tonight
(Your body’s so tight; I can make you feel right)
You got me in the zone, girl let’s go on a ride
(Girl tonight, won’t stop, till you say yeah)

Be the one (Be the one),
Be the one (be the one) -Do you right-
Baby, come over tonight
Be the one (Be the one),
Be the one (be the one)-Do you right-
Show you the time of your life

Baby let your mind go, I’ll take it real slow
Just get inside, make you feel alright
I know you want more, gonna lose control
Let your inhibitions go...

Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...
Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...

Be the one (Be the one),
Be the one (be the one) -Do you right-
Baby, come over tonight
Be the one (Be the one),
Be the one (be the one)-Do you right-
Show you the time of your life

Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...
Baby, be the one... baby, let me be the one...
