[Trans] 101124 SME Artists Sign On With Avex Group

The following is the press release that was released today.

Tie-up between S.M ENTERTAINMENT JAPAN Inc and Avex Group.

S.M ENTERTAINMENT JAPAN Inc has signed exclusive contracts for their artists with Avex Group, including BoA, Tohoshinki and J-Min, who have previously been with Avex. This has forged a closer alliance between both companies.

In addition to the artists mentioned above, both companies have signed new exclusive contracts for SUPER JUNIOR (※1)and ｆ（x）(※2), both groups that have successfully broken into Korea. Henceforth, for all S.M ENTERTAINMENT JAPAN Inc artists mentioned above, their Japanese career advancement will be managed by S.M ENTERTAINMENT JAPAN Inc, with Avex Group acting as their recording label as well as their management agent, giving full support to all their activities.

Furthermore, with regards to Tohoshinki, Yunho and Changmin will soon be re-starting their artists activity as a duo.

From now on, we thank you for your warm support towards the artists of both companies, namely, BoA, Tohoshinki, J-Min, SUPER JUNIOR and f(x).

※1 A 13-member male unit. Debuted in 2005.
※2 A 5-member female unit. Debuted in 2009.
