[NEWS] Yoochun and Yoon Eunhye Will Not Be Appearing in Drama "Maid"

Recently, a rumor ran rampant among fans that Yoon Eunhye of "Coffee Prince" and Yoochun of JYJ would be casted as the lead couple in KBS 2TV's new drama "Maid." The rumor, however, has been squashed by an official from the drama team, who claims it to be groundless.

According to the director of "Maid," "There’s no evidence about Yoon Eunhye and Park Yoochun as the potential cast members.”

But he then continued, “It’s true we have considered whether Yoon Eunhye and Park Yoochun could be coupled together for the drama, but in the end we believe that the couple is not possible.”

Both agencies of the actress and singer have also denied their involvement in the "Maid" drama. Eunhye's agency, The House Company, stated, “It’s just simply untrue.” Park Yoochun’s CJeS agency official has also dismissed the rumor, stating, “It’s a groundless issue.”

"Maid" is a drama about a romance that unfolds between a businessman employer and his live-in maid while they become embroiled in a battle over money.

TVXQ's U-know Yunho and actor Song Joongki have evoked a lot of laughter on SBS "Running Man" due to their drawing skills. The members of "Running Man" were split into two teams and played a game where one needed to describe a word through a drawing and relay it to the last person. The last person in line would then have to guess what the drawing is.

U-know Yunho and Song Joongki's drawing skills were revealed when they attempted to draw a rhino and a robot, respectively. Song Joongki's drawing drew laughter from everyone as his drawing looked more like a toilet than a robot. One of U-know Yunho's first attempts was to draw a ginseng, but the drawing ended up looking like a radish instead. His rhino drawing was also completely unrecognizable by other players.

On the same episode of running man, TVXQ succeeded in their mission and the "Running Man" team were punished for the first time. In addition, TVXQ also danced to SNSD's "Gee" and ABBA's "Dancing Queen".

[News] Lawsuit between SM Entertainment and JYJ delayed until March

The ongoing lawsuit between the members of JYJ and SM Entertainment has been delayed.
The 47th Seoul Central District Court held the third trial on January 18th at 3 PM, but due to the difference in opinions with both sides being unable to meet a compromise, the court decided for an additional hearing to be held on March 15th at 2 PM with one employee from SM as a witness.
JYJ’s lawyers requested a quick announcement by the justice department by asking,“The promotional period of singers is short, so please give a quick judgment on at least the validity of their exclusive contracts.”
SM Entertainment’s lawyers retorted to JYJ’s lawyers by asking for a judgment to be made including all of the issues that are being disputed.
The justice department responded, “There’s a necessity in further discussing the legal problems before a portion of the announcement is made. There is plenty of time until the next appointed date of March 15th, so we ask for both sides to cooperate and investigate further evidence.”

[NEWS] Fans plan to set up their own internet broadcasting station for JYJ

JYJ fans have set out to open an internet broadcasting station specifically for JYJ.

Despite achieving tremendous results with their first worldwide album, “The Beginning“, fans have been unable to hear their favorite trio sing on live broadcasts (aside from a congratulatory performance on KBS’s “Drama Awards“).

Motivated by their frustration, fans stepped forward and began collecting donations for an “Exclusive JYJ Internet Broadcasting Station.” With March 3rd as its scheduled broadcast date, fans have secured a server and are currently hiring DJs, scriptwriters, web designers, and other necessary staff members.

One fan commented, “It will be done in the same style as ‘Radio 21.’ We’ve prepared a large server that will be able to handle a large influx of fans.“ Another fan added, “Through perseverance, we have prepared a broadcasting station for JYJ, who have been met with difficulties on preparing on public broadcasting networks. We promise to immerse ourselves in JYJ and their music all day long, and to create a hot response so that public networks are forced to request their appearances on their shows.”

A hiring message on the program’s board reads, “We’d like to alert everyone that there are people that have bought the necessary equipment with their own money. The station will be run as non-profit, and hired staff (even if they have a Harvard diploma) will not be paid. The members of JYJ will see this homepage (Wouldn’t they be curious?).”

At such welcoming news, JYJ fans commented, “If we need a miracle, we will create it. Fighting, JYJ and fans!,” “Can we donate, I want to help in any way I can,” and “This is a respectful act, you are creating miracles.”

[NEWS] 110114 Fans of Bae Yongjoon, TVXQ's Changmin, JYJ's Yoochun and more top stars donate 11 tons of rice

Instead of gifting their idols with luxurious gifts, fans have started to use their power and influence for the good of society. For years fans have donated money in their idols' name and a variation of this movement has been gaining prominence in Korean fan culture: donating rice. Donating money not only helps the receiver, but simultaneously benefits and increases sales for rice farmers.

In October 2010, JYJ's fans donated 8.38 tons of rice to congratulate the trio for their Seoul showcase. Two months later in December, 2PM Taecyeon's fans donated 250kg of rice for the star's birthday and the opening for the drama "Dream High". That same month, Super Junior's fanclub E.L.F bought 620kg of rice for Siwon to celebrate his birthday and the red carpet event for "Athena: Goddess of War". Sungmin's fans donated even more by giving him 1.5 tons of rice at the press conference for his drama, "President". Fans of other artists such as Lee Seungchul, g.o.d's Son Hoyoung, Shinhwa's Kim Dongwan and actor An Jaewook have also donated many tons of rice to charity.

On January 13th, charity organizations "Measures Against Starvation" and "Rice Dreamy" announced a 3-month long charity event seeking donations of rice from the public. Even though it's only been a mere two days since the campaign launched, the fanclubs of 41 top stars have already donated an amazing amount of 11 tons of rice. Of the 11 tons, TVXQ's Changmin's fans donated almost 50% of the total with 5 tons of rice. Other fanclubs that have donated large amounts are those of Bae Yongjoon, Lee Junki, Song Changyi, No Minwoo and 2PM, JYJ's Park Yoochun, SS501's Kim Hyunjoong, Danny Ahn, Bae Subin, Krigbi, BEAST, Shinhwa's Kim Dongwan, and Seo Ingook. In total, the fanclubs of 41 stars have donated thus far.

Concerts, musicals and soundtrack releases will happen for this campaign. Many corporations will also be lending a hand. The rice donations will be given to low-income families, children as well as elders living alone.

Rice Dreamy's representative said "being able to have charities and entertainers come together for a common cause and donating rice to help the unfortunate makes me very happy" and "we will give our all to reach our goal of at least 30 tons."

With the explosive results from the first two days, there is no doubt that the organizations will reach their goal.
